IRISH APPLE MASH | |
1 lb. cooking apples 2 lbs. potatoes 1 tbsp. sugar 2 oz. butter Peel potatoes. Cook in salted boiling water. Peel, core, and slice apples. Place in saucepan with 1 tablespoon of water and the sugar. Cook until soft. When potatoes are cooked, drain and wash thoroughly. Beat in the apples and butter. This mash goes well with salmon or bacon. |
