CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. fudge cake mix
1 tsp. almond extract
1 (21 oz.) can cherry fruit filling
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to moderate (350 degrees). Using solid shortening or butter, not oil, grease and flour 15 x 10 inch jelly roll or 13 x 9 inch pan.

In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. By hand, stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake jelly roll pan 20 to 30 minutes, 13 x 9 inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

For frosting, in small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over bars. About 3 dozen bars.
