HERSHEY BAR CAKE 
5 plain Hershey bars
1 1/3 c. (1 lb. can) chocolate syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
2 sticks of butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped pecans (opt.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt candy and syrup in top of a double boiler. Add vanilla and set aside to cool. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well then add chocolate mixture and blend. Stir flour and soda together and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add nuts. Pour batter into a large, greased and floured tube or bundt pan. Bake 1 hour or more until it tests done. Frost or leave plain.
