6 sm. Hershey bars
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
Pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chocolate syrup
3 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecan pieces

Melt chocolate bars. Cream butter with sugar. Add one egg at a time, beating them thoroughly after each. Dissolve soda in buttermilk, then add to sugar mixture alternately with flour and salt. Add chocolate syrup, vanilla, melted chocolate bars and pecans. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake about 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees or until done.
