PICKLED DILLY BEANS 
2 lbs. green beans
4 cloves garlic
4 dill heads
1 tsp. red pepper
2 tbsp. coarse salt
4 tbsp. sugar
4 c. vinegar
4 c. water

Put beans in sterilized jars with garlic, dill and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper. Heat salt, sugar, vinegar and water to boiling. Pour over beans and seal. Put in water bath for 12 minutes. Better if you wait 6 to 8 weeks before opening. Makes 4 pints.
