MACARONI JON 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
2 to 3 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. onions, diced small
8 oz. can tomato sauce
16 oz. can stewed tomatoes
16 oz. can kidney beans
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. each pepper, cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. celery salt
3 to 4 tbsp. chili powder
1 qt. water
1/4 tsp. beef base
1 1/2 c. macaroni, elbow, raw
8 oz. mushrooms (optional)

Brown ground beef and onions in oil. Drain. Add tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, kidney beans, seasonings and beef base. Stir to blend, add water, bring to fast simmer. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally.

Add additional water if needed. Add raw macaroni, stir to incorporate. Continue to simmer, covered, on medium until macaroni is tender, 15 to 20 minutes, stirring often.
