TOFFEE BARS 
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 pkg. Saltine crackers
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and sugar in saucepan. Bring to a hard boil and then simmer for 10 minutes, stirring.

On cookie sheet lined with foil, lay out saltines so they are touching. Pour liquid over saltines and bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately pour chips over crackers. When they start to melt, spread chocolate until smooth.

Put in freezer for 1-1 1/2 hours. Then break into pieces. Refrigerate or put in a cool place.
