RICE KRISPIE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (oleo)
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. oatmeal, quick
2 c. Rice Krispies

In electric mixer, cream together shortening and sugars. Blend in 2 eggs. Add remaining ingredients except cereal, and blend slowly in mixer. Fold in 2 cups Rice Krispies by hand, make into walnut size balls on cookie sheet. Stamp flat with bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. This recipe comes from a ski lodge in Vermont. A McCarl family favorite.
