BEANS, GARBANZO WITH SAUSAGE 
1 1/2 lbs. pork sausage links
2 med. green peppers, cut into bite sized chunks
1 med. onion, sliced
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes in tomato puree
1 (15 1/2 - 19 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained
3/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

About 30 minutes before serving, cut each pork sausage link cross wise in half. In 12" skillet and 1/4 cup water to boiling. Cover and cook 5 minutes, remove cover and add peppers and onion, heat to boiling. Continue cooking sausage mixture 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add tomatoes, garbanzo beans, thyme, sugar and salt to mixture over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium and cook 5 minutes. Yield: 6 servings.
