CRAB AND TOMATO SALAD | |
1 tbsp. gelatin 2 tbsp. cold water 2 c. tomato juice 2 whole cloves 1 sm. onion, minced 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 c. cream, whipped 1 green pepper, diced 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped 1 (6 oz.) can crab meat, flaked Dissolve gelatin in cold water; set aside. Combine tomato juice, cloves, onion, celery seed, salt, sugar and pepper; simmer 15 minutes. Strain and add lemon juice and dissolved gelatin. Stir until dissolved. Cool until mixture begins to set; beat with mixer until frothy. Fold in beaten cream, green pepper, nuts and crab. Turn into mold and chill. |
