CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP 
1 lg. roasting hen
1 lg. onion, chopped
4 carrots, sliced
4 stalks celery, chopped
1/8 tsp. celery seed
Pinch of garlic powder
5 c. water
3 c. homemade noodles or 1 pkg. regular noodles

Boil chicken with vegetables and spices until chicken is tender and falling off bone. Remove chicken; skin and remove all bones. Cut meat in pieces; return to pot. Add noodles; cook until noodles are tender.
