ELEPHANT EARS 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Sugar

Melt butter and set aside. Stir flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, and salt together. Stir in milk and 3 tablespoons melted butter until dough forms.

Sprinkle surface with flour, knead dough 10 times. Roll or pan dough into 9 x 5 inch rectangle. Brush with remaining melted butter using pastry brush. Sprinkle with mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.

Roll dough tightly from narrow end. Pinch edge of dough to seal. Cut into 4 equal pieces. Place cut side up on greased cookie sheet. Pat each into a 6 inch circle. Sprinkle with more sugar.

Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove immediately from cookie sheet. Makes 4 elephant ears.
