POOR MAN'S MEAL 
1 lg. onion
1-2 heads cabbage
1-2 Italian bread (days old)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. olive oil

Saute onion, salt, pepper and oil in small fry pan. In a large pot, put cabbage and cover completely with water. Add onion, salt and pepper mix. Boil until cabbage is soft. Break up Italian bread into medium chunks and put in large bowl. Pour cabbage juice into strainer (put strainer on to of bowl with bread) mix. Now add cabbage, mix and serve.
