ONION FRIED OKRA 
1 lb. fresh okra
1/2 c. white cornmeal
1/2 tsp. onion salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. salad oil

Stir together the cornmeal, onion salt and pepper. Add the okra and toss until thoroughly coated. Heat oil in large skillet. Cook and stir okra in oil until brown.
