BEST RHUBARB CAKE | |
1 c. butter 2 c. flour 2 tbsp. sugar 6 egg yolks 1 c. half & half or sour cream 4 tbsp. flour 2 1/2 c. sugar 5-6 c. rhubarb 1/4 tsp. salt Blend and bake the first 3 ingredients for 10-15 minutes in 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees. Mix remaining ingredients well together. Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 40-55 minutes or until set. Beat 6 egg whites until stiff. Add 3/4 cup sugar. Add 2 tablespoons at a time. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla. Spread on rhubarb mixture. Bake in oven 10 minutes. |
