1 lb. hamburger (ground beef)
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 egg
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 sm. pkg. instant mashed potatoes or 2 c. fresh mashed potatoes, mixed with butter

Mix ground beef, onion, egg and 1/2 can soup (undiluted). Spread in greased 9 inch pie pan. Bake 25 minutes in 350 degree oven. Meanwhile, mix mashed potatoes with remaining soup and over top of baked meat mixture. Place several slices of cheese over top (any kind). Bake 5 minutes more or until slightly browned.
