DISAPPEARING MARSHMALLOW
BROWNIES
 
1/2 c. butterscotch pieces
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. self - rising flour
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. miniature marshmallows
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. semi - sweet chocolate pieces

Set oven at 350 degrees. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 inch square baking pan. Melt butterscotch pieces and butter in 3 quart heavy sauce pan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm. Add flour, brown sugar, vanilla and egg to butterscotch mixture in sauce pan; mix well. Fold marshmallows, chopped nuts and chocolate pieces into butterscotch batter just until combined. Spread in prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not over bake. Center will not be firm until the brownies have cooled.
