CHERRY DROP COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
3/4 c. Crisco
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugars, Crisco and add eggs. Beat well and then add rest of ingredients. Add 1/2 cup cut up Maraschino cherries. Add 1/2 cup of coconut and 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until nicely raised and browned.
