STRAWBERRY BREAD AND BUTTER | |
10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 c. vegetable oil 1 c. chopped nuts (optional) 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. 2. Grease and flour 9x5 inch loaf pan. 3. Beat strawberries with egg and oil. 4. Mix nuts with 1 tablespoon flour. 5. Sift remaining flour with the sugar, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. 6. Beat flour mixture into strawberry mixture. 7. Stir in nuts. 8. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes then turn to cool. BUTTER: 1 c. salted or sweet butter 1 c. chopped strawberries Beat and chill 1 hour. |
