Sugar

Place plums in large kettle. Cover with water; bring to a boil. Pour off water; add fresh water. Cook until skins pop, adding water as needed. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Press through a sieve; measure pulp into another kettle. Add 2 cups sugar for each cup pulp. Cook until thick; seal in hot sterilized jars.
