1 c. shortening (butter makes them taste yummy)
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. baking powder
6 tbsp. milk
1 c. sugar
3 1/4 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Food coloring

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly; add slightly beaten egg yolks and mix well. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Roll on floured board and cut with cookie cutters. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for about 9 minutes.

At Christmas make a triple batch. Divide and add coloring to each batch.
