GRANDMA'S IRISH SODA BREAD 
3 c. sifted flour
2/3 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 eggs
3 tbsp. caraway seeds
1 3/4 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. melted butter

Sift together dry ingredients. Stir in raisins and seeds. Combine liquid, eggs, and butter. Add to dry ingredients and put in greased 10 inch cast iron skillet. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour until firm and crusty. Butter top of bread after baking, if desired.
