CABBAGE ROLLS 
Sauerkraut
3 or 4 onions, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 or 2 lbs. ground beef
3/4 c. long-grain brown rice
1/2 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Paprika
Oil
2 sm. healthy cabbages with green leaves (this is crucial)
1 green pepper
3/4 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. brown sugar
Tomato sauce or paste

Saute onions and garlic 1 minute. Add beef and rice, saute until beef is browned. Stir well. Add spices and salt. Separate cabbage leaves and steam each one for 1 minute. Fill and roll each and layer in pot with sauerkraut and tomato sauce, raw sliced onion and cover with water. Bake 1 hour at 375 degrees. Serves 8 to 10.
