LEMON TORTE | |
1 c. flour 1 cube butter 1/2 c. ground walnuts 1 c. sugar 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 4 1/2 oz. Cool Whip 3 c. milk 1 lg. pkg. lemon instant pudding Pinch of salt 1 grated lemon rind or 1 tbsp. lemon juice Mix together flour and butter. Press into bottom of greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minute. Cool. Cream sugar and cream cheese. Add Cool Whip. Pour over cooled crust. Beat until thick, about 2 minutes, milk and pudding. Add a pinch of salt and the grated rind of lemon. Pour this mixture over cream cheese mix. Top with whipped cream and nuts. Can be made 2-3 days ahead. |
