CRUNCH POUND CAKE 
1 c. shortening, Crisco
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla flour
1 tsp. lemon flavor

Cream sugar and shortening, stir in 1 egg at a time. Add flavoring. Sift flour 3 times, add in 3 parts to butter. Put in tube pan. Place in cold oven; bake 1 hour at 300 degrees.
