CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 1/2 sqs.(4 sqs. if you won't want it to be dark) unsweetened chocolate
3 c.milk
4 eggs, beaten - add to mixture
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Bring to a boil in a saucepan the sugar, flour, salt, cornstarch, chocolate and milk. Boil 1 minute. Add eggs and continue boiling for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn off heat. Add butter and vanilla and stir until butter is melted.

Pour into baked pie shell and cover with plastic wrap. Cool slightly and then cover top with meringue. Bake 5-7 minutes at 350 degrees or until meringue is lightly browned.

MERINGUE:

4 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Not quite 1/2 c. sugar

Beat together egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy. Continue beating as you gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Cover pie and bake 5-7 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.
