OATMEAL CHEWS 
1 stick soft butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. rolled oats
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Optional: chopped nuts, chocolate chips or other goodies

Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate for 1 hour and up to 2 weeks, if desired. Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. 24 cookies.
