HIDDEN KISS COOKIES 
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 (9 oz.) pkg. chocolate kisses
Confectioners' sugar

At medium speed beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour and nuts; beat on slow speed until well blended. Chill dough. Remove foil from kisses and shape the dough around each one (cover completely). Place on a ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 12 minutes (set but not brown).

Cool slightly. Remove to a wire rack. While still warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool and stir in an airtight container. Makes 3 dozen.
