FLUFFY WAFFLES | |
4 eggs, separated 3 c. milk 1/2 c. cooking oil (1/4 c. for pancakes) 3 1/2 c. flour 2 tbsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt Beat egg whites until fluffy and set aside. Beat egg yolks until lemon colored. Add milk and oil. Combine dry ingredients and add. Beat until blended. With a spatula, fold in the egg whites. Spray preheated griddle with cooking spray. Use 1 cup batter per waffle. Note: If you're in a hurry, use eggs whole. Waffles will still be good, but not fluffy! For a treat, serve with fruit and whipped topping, nuts, and raisins. We do this when we're camping. Waffles can also be served with leftover turkey gravy - a PA Dutch secret! |
