SWEET ROLLS
1 qt. milk (powdered may be used)
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
14-15 c. flour
3 pkg. Red Star or Fleischmann's yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 scant tbsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar

Heat milk hot but not boiling. Add shortenings and cool a little. Add sugar and salt. Add beaten eggs. Add the yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar to the 1/2 cup water. Let stand a little until it bubbles, then mix into warm milk mixture. Add flour (not all at once). Knead well to a soft dough. Keep in warm place and knead down when doubled in bulk. Let rise again until doubled. Shape into buns or whatever shape you want. Let rise again until doubled and bake 15-20 minutes at about 375 degree oven.
