2 (3/4 lb.) pkgs. Smokie Sausage Links, or turkey sausage 7 oz. macaroni, cooked 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup 1/3 c. milk 1/4 c. dairy sour cream or imo 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut Smokie links into bite-size pieces. Combine with macaroni in shallow 2-quart casserole. Combine sour cream, lemon juice, water chestnuts, green pepper and salt. Spread evenly over Smokie link mixture. Melt butter over crumbs and toss. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake 40 minutes or until heated through. Makes 8 servings. |
