APPLE CRISP 
Place one can (No. 2) sliced apples in baking pan or deep pie dish. Cover with 1 cup sugar and add spices you like.

TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg

Mix together until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Melt 1/3 cup butter (you can use part Crisco); pour over topping. Bake until apples are done and the topping crisp. Serve plain or with whipped cream. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
