CEREAL BARS 
6 c. ready-to-eat wheat or rice cereal
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips

Put cereal in a 4-quart bowl. Place syrup, sugar and butter in a 1 quart pan and bring to a boil. Add peanut butter. Mix. Pour over cereal and mix lightly. Press into a 13 x 9 inch buttered pan. Microwave chocolate chips in a covered dish for 90 seconds. Spread over cereal mixture. Cut into bars. Serves 18.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
