SQUASH CASSEROLE 
1 well beaten egg
2 c. cooked summer squash
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 slice bread
Dash salt
Dash pepper
1 can French fried onions

Beat egg. Add mashed, drained squash, sugar, bread crumbs, salt and pepper, butter and 1/2 can French fried onions. Stir and pour into a casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle remaining half can of onions over casserole and cook 5 minutes or until onions are brown. 4-6 servings.
