PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. raisins
1 egg, well beaten
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. persimmon pulp

Cream butter and sugar. Add walnuts, raisins and well beaten eggs. Sift together flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and baking soda. To creamed mixture add (alternately) the balance of the ingredients. Blend well. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until done, 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
