CHOCOLATE OATMEAL BROWNIES 
1/2 c. softened butter
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. unsifted flour (1/4 c. whole what, 1/4 c. unbleached white)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. quick rolled oats
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place first five ingredients in mixing bowl and beat until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients into creamed mixture and stir well. Add the rolled oats and chocolate chips. Mix well. Spread evenly in ungreased 9 inch square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into bars or small squares after cooling. (May be served when still warm).
