SWEET AND SOUR RIBS 
1/2 to 3 lbs. ribs (ask butcher to cut in half)
Salt and pepper
1 lg. onion
1/4 c. celery
2 tbsp. butter or oil
2 c. pineapple chunks
2 tbsp. corn starch
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. each powdered garlic and cloves
1 c. pineapple juice

Place in shallow pan. Let cook as roast, uncovered, for 1 hour. Drain off fat. Cook onions and celery in butter until tender. Add pineapple chunks. Sprinkle with corn starch. Add remaining ingredients and cook, stirring until clear and thick. Put ribs in casserole. Pour mixture over, cover, bake 1 hour at 340 degrees.
