TWINKIE CAKE 
CAKE:

1 box yellow cake mix

FILLING:

3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. milk
1/2 c. Crisco
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar

Mix cake as directed by package directions. Bake in two round cake pans. Cool completely. Slice cakes to make four layers. Fill layers with filling.

FILLING: Mix cornstarch and milk, cook on medium heat until thick and bubbly. Cool completely.

Whip Crisco and butter. Add sugar and whip until well blended. Combine with above mixture and whip until fluffy. Spread between layers. Yield: 1 (4-layer) cake.
