FIG BARS 
FILLING:

1/2 lb. figs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. cold water

DOUGH:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sour milk
2 c. oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Flour to make it rollable

Boil the filling, mash with potato masher, if you want it finer. Set aside. Then roll out half of dough, put on cookie sheet about 9 x 11 inches. Spread on filling and cover with other half of dough rolled out. Bake in 350 degree oven until browned. Cut in bars.
