HONEY COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 c. honey
4 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 cup water
5 or 6 c. flour
Pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and shortening; add honey and beat well. Add water and soda, stir and beat in flour and salt; chill.

Roll out and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1/2 pkg. marshmallows

Boil sugar and water until it spins a thread; pour over egg whites. Add marshmallows and put on cookies.

It makes a large batch and will freeze.
