CHAFING DISH DIP 
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/4 c. catsup
3/4 tsp. oregano
1 tbsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Cook hamburger and onion until brown. Stir in everything but cheeses. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Spoon off excess fat. Simmer 10 minutes more. Add cheeses and stir until melted. Pour into chafing dish and serve with tortillas or fritos.

DIETITIAN'S NOTE:

For these tasty favorites, simply substitute homemade tortilla chips in place of high calorie, fat, sodium commercial chips. They are inexpensive, contain 80% less fat, are naturally low in sodium and take 15 minutes from start to finish.

Choose extra lean ground beef, drain all fat. Use light cream cheese to lower fat and calories.
