MARINATED FLANK STEAK 
1 lg. flank steak

MARINADE:

1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 c. honey
1/4 c. white vinegar

Lightly score flank steak diagonally in two directions; both sides.

Combine ingredients for marinade (looks yucky, but will be discarded after marinating meat). Lay steak in dish small enough so that marinade will mostly cover the meat. Marinade for several hours, turning occasionally.

Barbeque or broil.

Slice across grain of meat (short side), slicing at an angle. Great for summer entertaining served with tossed green or spinach salad and rolls.
