SALLY ANN COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (Spry)
1 c. molasses
1 1/2 c. hot coffee
4 c. flour (more if you roll out)
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix in usual manner. Chill dough. Roll into balls. Flatten with fork. Bake until lightly brown in 350 degree oven.

Frosting: Soak for awhile 1 package unflavored gelatin and 1 cup cold water. Add 1 cup sugar. Stir in heavy pan. Bring to a rolling boil. Boil and simmer 10 minutes. Pour mixture over 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar. Add 3/4 teaspoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until thick. Frost bottom of cookies.
