FRUIT SALAD 
2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. anise seed or 1/2 tsp. anise oil
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook the above ingredients for 15 minutes or until it is a light syrup and cool.

FRUIT:

1 sm. pineapple
1 honeydew
1 cantaloupe
2 oranges, sectioned
1/2 lb. green grapes
2 nectarines
2 lg. purple plums (unpeeled)
2 kiwi fruit (add just before serving)

Cut up fruit and toss with cooled dressing. Keeps well several days.
