GRAND PRIZE APPLE PIE 
Unbaked 9 inch double crust
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. cinnamon candies, crushed
1/2 c. honey
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 1/2 Gravenstein apples, sliced
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. half and half

Heat oven to 450 degrees. For filling, heat lemon juice in small saucepan. Add candy. Stir until dissolved. Stir in honey and cinnamon. Arrange apples in unbaked pie shell. Drizzle with honey mixture. Dot with butter. Moisten pastry edge with water. Cover with top crust.

Fold top edge under bottom crust. Flute with fingers or fork. Cut slits for steam escape. Brush with half and half. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees just prior to putting in pie. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
