1 stick butter, softened
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. white sugar
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Mix butter, sugars and vanilla; beat in egg. Blend in flour, salt and soda. Spread in prepared pan in a thin layer. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Place in oven for 2 minutes. Remove from oven and run knife through dough to marbelize. Return to oven and bake 12-14 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
