FRENCH BURGER 
2 lb. ground beef
Salt & pepper
1 can mushroom soup
1/3 c. water
4 tbsp. sliced green onion
2 tbsp. parsley
8 slices tomato
8 slices French bread, toasted

Season beef with salt and pepper; shape into 8 oval patties. Cook in skillet. Combine soup, water, onion and parsley. Cover and cook over low heat 15 minutes. (Stir occasionally.) Top patties with tomato and cook 5 minutes more. Serve on French bread and pour soup mixture over top of burgers. Makes 8 open face sandwiches.
