EASY FRENCH ONION SOUP 
3 med. onions, thinly sliced
1/2 c. butter
2 cans Campbell's beef consomme
2 1/2 c. water
Salt
Pepper
18 (1/4 inch) thick croutons
1 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese

In saucepan, saute onions in butter until brown. Add consomme and water. Boil 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour into 6 bowls and place croutons in each. Sprinkle cheese over each, top with paprika. Place under broiler 3 to 4 minutes.
