JAPANESE CHICKEN 
Either 1 fryer chicken or 10-12 drumsticks
1 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. ginger or grated ginger root
1 clove garlic, grated
1 tbsp. honey

Place chicken in baking pan (9 x 13 inch), skin side up. Heat other ingredients and pour over chicken. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees and then 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Baste with liquid every 15 minutes. Drain and serve with rice and steamed vegetables.
