1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
1/2 c. coconut (optional)
1 can apples (Comstock) OR 3 to 5 fresh, sliced apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour cream
1 egg

Cut butter into cake mix. Coconut may be also cut in as an option. Place mixture in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Form a crust, building up the edges a little. Cook for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Spread apples on crust. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Mix sour cream and egg. Drizzle mixture over apples. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 8.
